Product Overview
Double Deep Pallet Racking is an economical high-density pallet storage solution evolved from standard selective pallet racking. This system stores two pallets front and back within one rack bay, improving warehouse storage capacity by 30%~40% without expanding your building.Different from single-deep racking, double deep rack works on the LIFO (Last-In, First-Out) principle. It requires a deep-reach reach truck with telescopic forks to access rear pallets. Balancing storage density and operational flexibility, it is the ideal mid-cost choice between ordinary selective rack and fully automated shuttle racking.

Double deep pallet racking is an upgraded version of selective pallet racking. It stores two pallets front-to-back within one rack bay. Compared with standard single-deep beam racking, it improves storage capacity by 30%~40% by reducing the number of forklift aisles. It balances high storage density and flexible pallet access, widely used for mass goods storage.
Standard counterbalance forklifts cannot access the rear pallets. You need a deep-reach reach truck (double-deep reach truck) equipped with pantograph/telescopic extendable forks to reach the second pallet position safely. We suggest confirming forklift maximum reach distance before warehouse layout design.
It follows LIFO (Last In First Out). The front pallet must be removed before accessing the pallet stored at the back. It is NOT suitable for goods requiring strict FIFO management such as short-shelf-life food.
It works for standard industrial pallets (1200×1000mm / 1100×1100mm). Pallet size, load weight and overhang dimensions will be fully considered during our layout design. We recommend consistent pallet dimensions for stable operation.
